Brothers Kempe reunited in this years Vetlanda round
They look a like and they share the same passion for really old rides and especially race modified Flatheads. Last year Martin Kempe almost missed the whole season due to get an engine ready and we, the spectators, for sure missed this old school rider who always use the throttle as much as possible and always puttin on a good show. But this year he is back and so is his brother Magnus Kempe who also are the reigning Champion inte this very fine class, True Gold.

Martin Kempe missed a big part of last season, but this year we are happy to see him race in Vetlanda again.
Racing in True Gold requires a very special kind of passion, cause its definatly not the easy way to do things. The varaity in the class is big though, but we are talking about bikes 60-100 years old. Still they are fast and even furious, but mostly when their led sleds doesn’t start as they expected. When it’s go time and green lamp litts its for almost all of them important to get the second gear in before the corner due to foot clutch and tankshifter. They are brave and they are bold and most of all they are the ones the spectators cherish most. Not only about the beauty of their bikes, but also the smell and the sound and maybe baby most of all their attitude, after all they are racing the crap out of old antiques and they do it good.

Magnus Kempe is the reigning Champion in True Gold, can he defend the title this year?
Welcome back this year and we are happy to reveal that the brothers will be joined by their fellow club member Johan Palm also from Eldarna Speedway on his fine 1928 Harley.
