Where will the Swedish Finnish battle stand?

Impressions that lasts from 2024 is when Swede “Nesse” Nilsson battled with the Finn Kai Kivekäs in Vintage Modern Classic. And it looks like we are going to have new exciting rounds in Finland cause now they are both signed up for round 1 in Varkaus and round 2 in Kauhajoki. But another green lean killer mashine will probably be involved as Jarkko Tallqvist who entered on a Kawasaki 125 triple last year now is going to give the 250cc of his a chance against Nilsson and Kivekäs.

We are getting closer to our first rounds of Viking cup in Finland and the registrations are coming in each day. Today we confirmed two new riders entering, one has still not confirmed in which class he is entering, though there is an ongoing work in the garage of the Swede Anders “Nesse” Nilsson. He might be running in Vintage Modern Classic again and thats a couple of heats to look forward to if so. The two first rounds of the Viking Cup offers two tracks totally different from each other, at least lenghtwise and a qualified guess is that the Finns will have advantage on the shorter track with lighter bikes while the Swede if he choose this battle have power enough having some extra rpm’s left over at the end of the straights at the Kauhajoki 650 meter long track. Last year at the Hyvinkää round Nilsson and Kivekäs left us with memorable impressions and it became some of the most fun heats to watch. The question now is if we will se this battle again this year and will Tallqvist give thoose two guys fair but hard competion?

This is for sure a battle to look forward and we are sure that there are more of them to come in this years Viking Cup. Stay tuned!
